downtown boston 47 degrees right now. moving out toward worcester, 43. 39 in orange as you travel through areas of new hampshire. the overall feel of the air definitely milder than what we were seeing in the 20's this time yesterday morning. clouds are going to linger as you're heading out for much of the morning hours, especially moving from worcester eastward onto the coast. spot shower chances. notice as we progress toward noon, we see sun breaking out in lynn and pushing into western mass. that will be pushing through much of connecticut as well. into much of worcester county from 495 eastward. we're likely stuck in the clouds for much of da. that extends into the south shore and the cape. moving into the evening ahead, we will start to dry out. that's going to lead us into a sunnier start for the workweek. the downside is temperatures will stay on the cool end of the scale as we top out at 50 degrees in the height of the afternoon on monday. tuesday for election day, you're heading ou highs will hit near 60 degrees.

it is now extending into downtown boston. you can see that rain line which pushes all the way down right along the coast and onto the cape as well where we're seeing reports of very line rain in portions of worcester county moving northward toward new hampshire as well and into the merrimack valley. we have some light snow also being reported. as you can see, that line extends eastward now. it's starting to make its way on to 91. that's where we're seeing reports of a rain/snow mix, mainly snow as we move toward pittsfield, an area that will likely see over 6 inches, even 10 inches of snowfall when all is said and done. that's as we move into tonight pretty much as warm as they're going to get today. we have 47 degrees in downtown boston. and that is the high temperature for the day. we're actually going to see the temperatures start to slowly fall as we head into the afternoon. you add in the wind. that means things are going to feel even colder. hyannis at a high of 50 degrees this morning. springfield at 37. that's the max

we're at 45 degrees in downtown boston. plymouth at 50. te 54 degrees. that's playing a part with those coastal temperatures this morning. you move inland. that's where we see a few 20's on the board. pitts field, 28 degrees. kite a bit cooler inland, the opposite this afternoon because clouds that move onto the coast will keep our temperatures in the 50's. as you move inland where that sun will be a bit stronger, that's where temperatures could inch towards 60 degrees this afternoon. so colder for the coast. hour, clouds are building in and temperatures will fall into the 40's. right now we do have a storm system which is off the coast, really not a huge impact for us, but it's that wraparound air that's bringing some of those clouds right onto the coastline for today. that will continue to be a concern through the evening, but then we're watching that cold front with that rainfall, which pushes right through as we head into the overnight hours tonight and into your sunday morning. as that pushes through, we see that chance of snow initially just hangin

so right now our wind speeds are 15 miles an hour in downtown boston. 14 for worcester. that is something that's going to likely stay around that strength. even 20 miles an hour in the height of the afternoon. you may notice winds are coming out of the northwest. that is bringing that cool air as we move throughout the day. that's why our temperatures right now are down into the 30's and even the 20's. and they're going to stay in the 40's and 30's throughout the afternoon. right now it's 23 degrees in boston at 37 degrees. we have that nice water temperature to thank for the temperatures being just a bit warmer than inland locations, but it's that wind-chill factor that's really coming into play. and even as we head into the height of the afternoon, it's going to feel like it's in the upper 30's even along the coastline for today. moving out toward worcester, our height of the afternoon temperature is feeling like 34 degrees. moving out toward pittsfield, the feel-like temperature down in the lower are going to start to cool down. the problem is we're clearing out those

that's going to lead us into a warmer afternoon. 45 degrees in downtown boston with a light west wind at this point as well. wind chills down in the upper 30's to lower 40's. nothing compared to those wind chills of the upper teens and 20's we are seeing at this time yesterday morning. we have a few upper plymouth at 38 degrees. worcester at 40. overall, things are feeling relatively mild heading out this early sunday morning, and that is going to be the case as we move throughout the day despite some clouds we're seeing this morning. here's a look at that. you can see there's a very thin layer of clouds that's moved through our area, a bit stubborn for the morning hours. as the sun rises, you'll see that start to slowly clear as we head into the late morning and that westerly wind into our area. we're going to see beautiful sunny skies from our west move into the area as well later this afternoon and toward the workweek too. temperatures in the 40's for much of this morning as the sun rises. things are slowly warming. eventually we're inching toward the 50's by the height of the afte
