right now it is quiet along the road where samuel dubose died. you can see the makeshift memorial behind me. people have been stopping by in small numbers to pay their almosts. meanwhile that rally at the courthouse with crowds of 300 to 400 people. that despite rains that have swept through cincinnati throughout the afternoon. the family of dubose, a brother and son speaking eloquentbly the emotion, calling for peace among crowd and that's how it has been so far. very peaceful. you have some police officers in dress uniform who have been mingling with the crowd. but for the most part, officers have been hanging back. they are there. but they're there in case they're needed. they're not there to police the event or impose any rule upon it just to be there in case they are needed and to answer any questions from the crowd. a few moments ago about, half the group, half the demonstrators took to the streets. they are marching right now. the other half remain at the courthouse. the family of samuel dubose has called for peaceful and calm demonstratio

>> reporter: seconds later, he shoots dubose in the head and appears to fall. a second video released today of the body camera of another officer shows tensing on the ground. tensing's attorney says it was self-defense. >> he thought he was going to die. he thought he'd be sucked under that car and run over as he was pulling away from him. >> reporter: the prosecutor's office says it's investigating other officers. today two officers, one of whom supports tensing's claim that he was dragged, replaced on administrative leave. i sat down with dubose's family today. >> in cold bloodshot him for no reason at all. i saw it. i saw it with my eyes. >> reporter: they remember sam as a peaceful man. >> he loved all his kids, and they loved him. they loved him so much. >> reporter: tonight our affiliate station here in cincinnati, wlwt, is reporting that ray tensing posted bond and is out of jail. he's due back in court next month. meanwhile, the investigation into the two other responding officers conditions. lester? >> rehema ellis tonight, thank you. >>> there are fre

all of that playing around, dubose knows he doesn't have a license. had complied, he just doesn't didn't want to get taken out of car, because he knew he would be arrested. so i think there's more to this story than the cop went up to the side of the car and killed him. >> you have to admit even if he didn't have a license plate on the front of the his car, even if the driver's license was suspended, he certainly didn't deserve to die. >> the officer didn't know it was suspended. he has an individual who is knolls fully identified in a car that's not been identified yet. in the midsle of that stop, dubose turns the engine back on and starts to accelerate. he makes the mistake to reach in and try to shut the igs in off, but when you see right after that the camera fluttering. the camera is affixed to his body. his body is going up and down. he's not perfectly still drawing his gun and shooting. >> i agree with tom there's nothing wrong with the police officers stopping a car for not having a traffic -- not having a license plate. however, i really disa

>> reporter: dubose hands the bottle over but doesn't produce a license. tensing keeps asking. >> i'm asking you a direct question. do you have your license on you? >> i thought i did. what did you pull me over for? >> reporter: the officer then reaching for the car door. >> i didn't even do nothing. >> take your seat belt off. stop, stop. >> reporter: we won't show you what happens next but you can hear the gunshot. moments later the car now out of control rolls away until it crashes, dubose slumped at the wheel. minutes later on police radio this is how tensing describes what happened. >> i almost got ran over by the car. he took off on me. i discharged one round struck the man in the head. >> reporter: police reports show tensing claims he was being dragged by the vehicle and had to fire his weapon. overnight dubose's mother saying she's pleased her son will get some kind of justice. >> i'm relieved because now i realize that my son did not do anything and i know that everybody know now he didn't do anything. >> the family in the midst of their mourning
