> host: tell us about dylan's funeral. >> guest: okay, dylan's funeral. first of all, it was very private. it was less than a week after columbine, and the family was afraid to have a funeral. or who might go. they did it in secrecy. they had not been going to a church regularly, but they had attended st. phillips lutheran church at one time x a friend got word to pastor that the klebolds needed somebody. they didn't have a pastor, and they needed somebody to bury their son. so he agreed to do it. and there were only fewer than a dozen people there. and he prepared something, but then when he got there, he realized they needed to throw that out and just talk. and so e had everybody in the group just close friends of the family, dylan's parents and his brother talked about dylan, and the brother particularly was, he was just distraught. he didn't know what to make of it or what to do about it. and so then the pastor quoted, selected a passage from scripture which was just perfect, and forgive me, i should know how to pronounce the name, from the old testam

then dylan, dylan is completely different. polar opposite. dylan went along with the plan but he was not driving it. when you look at their journal, eric was hate, hate all the way through. the opening line was i hate the effingham world. he started on a line to kill and he ended up killing. with dylan, completely different. he spent two years writing his journal and the most common word he used was love. completely unexpected. he was a loving, sensitive boy with a whole lot of anger but his anger was directed inward, angry at himself for being a loser, an outcast. it was objectively untrue but that's what he thought. dylan tried so hard loving the world but the world wasn't loving him back. gradually, he takes a really slow evolution. he's diagnosed with a classic diagnosis. the interesting thing is watching how this kid, he looks like he would never kill, gradually turns the inward anger onto the rest of the world. instead of blaming me, i'm going to take a lot of you with me. he still committed suicide but took a lot of people with him. >>

dylan, what you got your eye on?ugh the midwest, where this is that cold front that's going to cool things down significantly for most of the country. it does come with heavier rain and thunderstorms too. look at all this cloud-to-ground lightning, we have 5 million people under some sort of flash flood watch and flash flood warnings in effect because there's a lot of rain within these storms so that could lead to flash flooding as it piles up very quickly it's all this frontal system that's not reay that fast moving which is why we'll see rain continue over the same areas through kansas, oklahoma, through missouri, into illinois and indiana, kentucky and tennessee too. then on friday we'll slide farther to the south, pushing the majority of the storms down along the gulf coast and into the southeast. but look how much it clears out across the northeast and the great lakes, that's where we'll lose the humidity and see a return of sunshine but we could see about two to three inches of rain in some of the higher amount

woodstock, new york was a bohemian community and a lot of musicians lived there often on including bob dylan, the band, richie havens, van morrison, the organizers called their company woodstock ventures and they started looking for a place for their festival. they could not find a place in woodstock that was large enough. they found a property that might was down thehich road from woodstock but that fell through and out of desperation they found in middletown,ark near new york and it was very flat, kind of an interesting land, but it had good transportation access. they started building, they started advertising, the built artistses, they had creating art installations and everything was going smoothly until the locals caught wind of what they were doing and it was not going to be a 50,000 person folk festival after all, what they were promised. jimi hendrix had been booked and non-folk bands were hooked -- were booked very prominently and the town rewrote its laws to outlaw the festival. that left woodstock ventures with about four weeks to find another location. that is when they came in
