hills and also the east bay valleys. those were added earlier today, the santa cruz mountains and then you can see the area and yellow. that's a heat advisory for santa clara valley, and they're expecting temperatures in the upper nineties, not triple digits, so that's why they're in that kind of stepped down category. but how hot are we talking about? well if saturday is the peak santa rosa 98 degrees will be about what you'll see 105 and conquered. it looks like the east. say is really going to be where the heat gets going. 78 in san francisco 88 in fremont, in about 92 in san jose, now one of the kind of caveats of our marine layer not rolling in quite as heavily as we have a beautiful view right now is to take a live look outside, you can see just kind of those high clouds that are out there not really covering the golden gate bridge, as it has for the past week or so. and this is where the heat kind of gets going right when that marine layer doesn't roll in. it's 100 degrees in concord right now, at six o'clock, 101

so we're going to be about 5 to 10 degrees above average for warmest inland valleys in the east bay and north bay. pretty seasonable temperatures though, along the coast and east bay shoreline. >> thanks to that cool sea breeze influence right about where we should be for this time of year. mid 60's for downtown san francisco low 70's for oakland in hayward. and check out san jose in the low 80's. but it's our innermost valleys. the warmest ones. for those of you in solano county no surprise there near that triple digit heat 99 degrees right now with nevado in the mid 90's. thanks to those offshore winds. so these are these northerly winds also known as diablo winds. the wind direction. north to south. so that's why you're significantly warmer than those of you in santa rosa. let's take a look at radar for out there right now. we are tracking, though, that marine layer right along the coast and that's helping to keep our temperatures on the mild to average side away from the coastline, though, hot temperatures inland. but let's take a look at radar for right now. sierra tracking pop up

in the east. bayve arrested a man for starting several fires along highway 4 and sand creek road crews were able to put the flames out quickly, but police did arrest a man after a short chase. so far, no word on the charges. he's facing. and take a look at this. a car crashed into houghton market in downtown oakland. this is the corner of webster street and 17th street. it happened around 9 o'clock last night. you can see all the glass shattered everywhere. the doorframe off its hinges staff there tells kron 4. no one was inside at the time of the crash and there's no word on what caused it. right now. oakland police do need your help finding this missing man. his name is she on joe. he's 85 years old and was last seen friday morning in oakland's chinatown. police say he does move with a walker or some kind of assistance. so if you've seen him or, you know, any information you're urged to contact oakland. police. up in the north bay. sandra fell police are searching for answers following a deadly shoo

there's the east bay shoteline. and even though we do have fog, at least you can make out the lighting along the east bay shoreline. so it's not that thick yet. quite a bit of a glaze, though happening at the golden gate bridge to get things off to the start. we do like this onshore wind providing this fog because that keeps temperatures down keeps the monsoon at if you know when the pun, here's the mix out of the fog by later on today at the coast. again, we might be dealing with some of those fog clouds lingering into the afternoon, although i think we'll see a little bit more sun than we did earlier this week fog returns again for tomorrow morning. and again, the typical drill. now the thunder shower action remain to the south. it looks like in southern california. a this is expected bubble up. however, as we get into the weekend and on to early next week. so we're kind of watching what the details will be on this particularly into next week. this weekend is a look like a problem but into early next week there ma

east bay regional park district. i county sheriff's office in only county search and rescue that were on scene. starting about 4 o'clock on saturday which about 2 hours after he was reported missing so it is very exigent response personnel to try to get on this operation to locate all a lot of it was based on the conditions of the days and so forth. and the heat due to the day and search efforts continued on that night to about and then we re struck at 05:00am sunday and scaled up from there from another additional 50 searchers that were here on sunday to the numbers of a 100 plus on monday. and today's numbers of over a 120. so really scaled up with we have a lot of different resources here from ground searchers assets. we've had helicopters. we have drones. we've got fixed wing aircraft you could even bikes. we got a ton of different resources that we've put it this operation so forth. in addition to our efforts and so forth. there's tremendous response of local people to support philip with regards to converge and

that's the east bay valleys. the way to think of this is 680 and 580, all the communities along those two corridors from in between concord and livermore. that's really where the priority is. it's going to be hot in the north bay. look at santa rosa, not even colored on the map. excessive heat warning applies to mountains, not santa rosa. this is a heat advisory. not as bad as excessive heat warning but it will be hot enough that you need to take this seriously. let's look at where the worst is. concord. for the past couple days it hasn't been bad. it was 86 wednesday. yesterday we warmed up to 98. let's fill in the days. today 104. saturday is the peak, going up to 108. sunday is better but still in excessive heat warning. it doesn't expire until sunday night. then monday, all the way back down to the upper 80s. that's the least pleasant looking forecast we are going to see. a lot of communities in and around concord have to consider that's the way it is going to go. if we look at san jose, numbers are better. m
