east bay. breaking up a little bit up to the north bay as zooming in a little closer here. there you see the east bay shorelineri valley getting some good rain out of all of back up to the mountains there. that winter storm warning is until 04:00am on sunday. they also have an avalanche warning because of all as expected. pick up another foot or so out of this particular package. snow levels are around 5,000 feet or so. as talking about in terms of some of the the warnings and so forth. we like to see them a little lower, obviously, because that means we're saving more moisture with all of us. but these storm systems have been more than mid to lower latitudes. so it's been somewhat mild air coming our way. not the really cold stuff up when we get precipitation coming from that direction, we get the cooler temperatures but more mountain snows. so we take a break. breathe air tomorrow. monday, back up again, taking a break on tuesday. but the deeper moisture expected by wednesday. you'll see that in the long range forecast models, futurecast, wind gusts were almost but to put this to bed, too. in terms of the wi

throughout most of the san francisco peninsula drying out a bit for the southern part of the east bay shoreline and even into the south bay. but overall, we're going to see some more of that atmospheric river currently over eureka making its way into the bay area overnight. so starting at 10 o'clock tonight, we're going to be under a flood watch primarily for those of you in the north bay and san francisco peninsula coastline. in addition to that, gusty winds of wind advisory going into effect overnight as well peaking by your tuesday morning commute because we could see wind gusts in that 50 to 60 miles per hour range. so future cast for going to track the heaviest rain first arriving for those of you in the north bay. shortly after midnight during the overnight hours, that storm track going to shift to the south and east impacting most of the east bay and south bay. slight chance of thunder, but no hail with this warm core subtropical storm that's tapping into that hawaiian moisture. that's why we're expected to get one to 3 inches of rain when it is all said and done by mid-morning on tuesda

and now it's making its trek across the bay into the east bay shoreline with mountain view, seeing widespread rain and with the storms knocking on san jose's door right now, but relatively dry for the most part. but we're going to see light scattered hit or miss showers overnight through your monday morning with another round of snow showers for those of you near about hamilton in the south bay. so enjoy that once again going to wake up to a winter wonderland for highest peaks there monday morning. but drier and clear conditions and even though it looks like it's going to be a great commute. watch out for ponding because we have seen inches of rain with this storm alone. rain totals. they're going to increase, in fact, are expecting an additional quarter of an inch upwards of half an inch of rain or less for most of the bay area. and then chilly weather heading our way monday night through tuesday morning. as that storm passes, it's going to leave behind very dry and cool air mass freeze. watch going into effect. find out where my full forecast in just a few minutes. back to you, dan and weal

weather for this weekend in the bay area starting to exit most of the coastline and even the east bay shoreline as it shifts to the south and east. so we are starting to notice some widespread rain for our valleys in the east bay and south bay. but then we're going to see a drying trend there as well within the next hour or 2. but for your sierra forecast, we're going to see one to 3 feet of additional snow for elevations above 8,000 feet from now through monday morning, lake tahoe level 3 to 7 inches of additional fresh powder, gusty winds for our valleys, 40 miles per hour or less more than double those amounts throughout this year. ridgecrest. so that's why we actually have an avalanche watch for the back country of the greater lake tahoe area. just because remember, you've got several feet of snow earlier this week and now we're seeing more snow on top of that. in addition to gusty winds, winter storm warning and also a winter weather advisory in effect from now through monday. and it's really going to peak sunday morning through monday morning. we're going to see another batch and round of
