but not just the wimberley area but pretty much all of central and east texas and even portions of oklahoma filled to the brim. really, anywhere in texas you get additional rainfall it's going to be bad. all of the rivers are like this. they're all at flood stage or above. so any additional water is going to result in flash flooding. that's why you've got to heed those warnings and get to higher ground and don't drive into those waters. >> jennifer gray thank you so much in wimberley. we keep hearing these stories. these are people's homes, their livelihoods, their memories. three days have passed and there's still no sign of three members of the mccomb family. they were all swept away by flash floods. they were inside their wimberley vacation home when the storms uprooted this house, washed it away. the cabin actually broke apart as it was floating downstream. laura mccomb's sister described to cnn the moment laura called to explain they were helplessly drifting away. >> julie, i cannot imagine how difficult this must be for you and your family. if you can, walk me through what happened. i

candice was behind the wheel when her brand-new sburn ion slammed into a tree on this east texas countryd in 2004. this is the tree you hit. her boyfriend michael erickson was in the passenger seat. he was candice's first love. >> i was through the windshield on the hood of the car. his face was face down in my lap. >> reporter: the father of two young girls, michael was instantly killed. candice still bears the scars of that day. her liver lacerated nearly all her ribs broken. do you have moments when you think, why did i survive? >> oh yeah. i felt that way the whole ten years. >> reporter: the police report says neither candice nor michael was wearing a seat belt. the air bags did not deploy. after the crash, xanax was found in candice's system. she was not prescribed the drug but says she took one pill the night before. >> do i think i was intoxicated that day? no. >> reporter: she was indicted on a felony charge of intoxication manslaughter. she pleaded guilty to criminal negligent homicide and sentenced five years probation and fine. she lived etch day as a felon. you could have go
