elise preston for us tonight, thank you. there was a dramatic rescue at sea thursday, after a cruise ship passenger went overboard hours earlier. take a look at this video just released. it shows the moment of coast guard hoisted the unidentified man from the gulf of mexico. now, the man's sister said he left a bar on the carnival "valor" late wednesday and headed for the restroom. when he didn't turn up the next day, she reported him missing. the coast guard found him hours later in the water, thankfully alive. he was flown to a new orleans hospital and is in stable condition. well, china is dealing with a record number of covid cases this week, despite the country's zero tolerance lockdown policy, which is now stirring anger and rare protests. cbs' elizabeth palmer has that story tonight. >> reporter: furious citizens hurl barricades and abuse at the police in the port city of guangzhou, where some areas have been locked down for weeks. these restrictions have been disastrous for the economy, and people have simply had eno
