numbers were in the mid-50s and 39 in hagerstown and 34 in oakland and 37 in pax river and 41 in elkton you need more proof it's chillier, here it is. 41 westminster and 43 bel air. it was 58 degrees this time yesterday morning in columbia. 43 d.c. and annapolis and rock hall and all three of those locations getting a bay effect. it's still, well, the stay start with temperatures above normal. here's what's coming down later on. clouds passing by to the south and a zesty area of low pressure. as that makes its way to the coast with the rain, we'll get dry and get cloudy through bedtime and tomorrow, we'll clear out again and for a moment, it's cooler and that high will keep us in stable temperatures throughout the weekend. and 56 is the high this day and this is a dip in temperatures from 50 to 52 degrees and by saturday, we'll be up to 60 degrees and a few clouds and 53 sunday. and because of the high, monday, 61 and the indications show that tuesday, the temperatures are that far away. >>> thank you, i like that. >> and if you're heading to the door, take a look at sharon gibala. >>>

and that was a record, by the way. 50 in ocean city. 48 in elkton and hagerstown. dry air tonight.illy tonight. winds will be dying down. most places, except right near the water, will get around freezing. winds to the west and southwest. very light, under 10 miles an hour. as you can see, a lot different colder air out west. snow in the mountains there. even seattle might even see some snow, which is a little rare. usually get rain in the 40- degree range. but right now, very cold air, heading into the ridiculousies. that is going -- the rockies. that is going to move into the plains. we're not going to see that here. a lot of warm air actually moving into the central plains. temporarily, at least for a few days, may look pretty mild. doesn't look like we'll get pretty cold until just after thanksgiving. looks like a chilly day, but should be dry. high pressure over the east coast now. means a cool, breezy, up to our north. but a cool night tonight. however, mild air comes right in on saturday. and then it turns a little cooler here on sunday. so we'll see some changes this weeken

right now, it's holding steady. 61 in elkton. 60 in hagerstown. ocean city. a little cooler by the water. very dry air. and with dry air, clear skies, light winds. temperatures will begin to tumble all over again. very typical again. out in the great basin, there are temperatures in the 70s in the daytime. for us, this air is extremely dry. 66/28 today. now, downtown, just 8 miles from bwi marshall. the low was 45 degrees. that's a huge spread in such a short distance. and just shows you how variable weather and temperatures can be around an urban area. 58/36 are the averages. and the record, 78 and 18 back in 1957. right now, very light winds, not a major factor anywhere in the area. the only real weather we have to talk about for our region. out here in the central plains. slowly but surely, this front is going to move off to the east. it will develop low pressure and bring us a pretty good chance, we think, of rain here. but not until tuesday. until then, beautiful weather along the east coast continues. this big island of high pressure will continue to do
