can tell you that wilson boulevard is closed for several blocks between north green briar and north emerson. 500 people are still without power. we are talking about homes and businesses. most offices would just close up shop the rest of the day. but the animal hospital, they didn't have that option. they have pets that need serious treatment. one of the dogs was in surgery when the power went off. they had to use flashlights to finish the job. >> everything went fine. luckily none of the anesthetic equipment requires power. we have battery backups. we didn't lose monitoring equipment or surgical equipment. we had to move to the battery backups. the onlyhing critical was the lighting. >> now, the safe way grocery store was without power for five hours. about five minutes after 4:00 the generators kicked in and they were able to go bk into business. customers came back in. we were told one lane of wilson boulevard will reopen around 6:00 p.m. all three lanes should be open by 9:00. they are expecting the power in this area to come on by 7:00. that's the latest from here. back to you. >> wisd
