"action news" reporter chad pradelli joins us live from southwest detectives where the suspect was just transported this morning. chad. >> reporter: that's right, matt, authorities brought that suspect back here to southwest detectives about an hour and a half ago after he was treated at a local hospital. he now faces reckless endangerment aggravated assault and other related charges after that wild ride last night. this is how the chase ended. a police cruiser clipping the back of the white van and sending the vehicle side over side. police say the suspect, robert ritter emerges with his hands up in a tiki barrier giants jersey on his back. he thinks for a moment about running but seems to drop to the ground. >> could have been a lot worse than this. the tim

erin o'hearn joins us. catch karen is off, matt pelman is here along with dave murphy. >> once again we're off to a very muggy warm start. taking a look at satellite and radar you can see there's a cold front pushing towards the east. by the time we get into the afternoon there's the chance of showers popping up and perhaps drenching thunderstorms, some of which could produce gusty winds but the big issue will be the drenching downpours these could give us in this humid air mass. right now we're at 78 degrees in philadelphia, 71 allentown mid 70's down the shore, 76 in wilmington and in trenton and everyone is dealing with that high humidity. dewpoints right now are up around 70 or so and it is what we consider oppressive humidity. heading out the door 76 by 6 o'clock, 81 by 8 o'clock warm and humid, partly cloudy skies. as you grab that car door handle or maybe as you head to the bus stop. as we roll through the afternoon it is going to be a warm one. we're going for that high of 89 degrees at 3 o'clock. a

erin o'hearn has the latest for us at the big board. erin. 1995, the ku klux clan burned down the mount zion methodist episcopal church in agree leeville. last night flames erupted again at the church which is about 50 miles north of charleston where nine people were shot and killed in a church on june 17th. fortunately no one was inside this place of worship at the time of the fire. and authorities say it's too soon to see what caused the blaze, which did break out on the night of frequent storms. but this comes at a time when federal authorities are investigating other fires at predominantly black churches in the area. but so far none of the fires appear to be related. however, members of the church of this latest fair to say they are drawing from the strength of the congregation of emmanuel ame in charleston. >> i think the emanuel ame has shown us the way to deal with tragedy and that is to draw your strength from the lord and come together as a community and meet whatever adversary you may have with a spirit of love. so, i think this com
