joining us now is co-author of "the playbook" is eugene.. >> thank you. >> let's start this with this idea of young black men. we know that donald trump has spent time trying to make inroads there. what is the latest the polls say being successful and what is the vice president doing to try to win their support, as she said, particularly on issues like affordability? >> one of the interest things with donald trump is the way he does it, it kind of shows a party, a man who is kind of engaging with people they don't typically do, right? they do it sometimes in a clumsy way sometimes as the shiny shoes. there are wrappers and the view of which they go when they go and talk to black male voters but some of it is working, right? the polls are all over the place so it's unclear how it would work out. when we talk to black advocates and polsters it's hard to poll the black men and the black population in general so when folks look at these polls should take into account. for vice president harris, since she was just vice president and running mate

in fact, the idea that we can rank intelligence is fundamentally eugenic.from the eugenicists, and the term "general intelligence" comes from eugenics. so i think we have to be very careful with that, because it's the same form of thinking that the eugenicists participated in when they said, oh, we could breed more intelligent people by measuring the intelligence of people. intelligence is nothing like that. so, the idea of an artificial general intelligence would be like, what's the artificial general vehicle? what's the best vehicle for all tasks? it does everything better than all other vehicles. this is a ridiculous notion. the vehicle you would like to use is dependent on the circumstance, and in intelligence, unless we define the context, the right form of intelligence can't be defined. so the word is more like "beauty", in that we all have a sense of what it is, but actually we can't say much more about it other than our sense. we can't define it from first principles. what matters most to you in the here and now of the development and deployment of
