in fairfield, philippe djegal, kron four news. a new mountain lion sighting in san carlos has south bay residents on alert. again. this comes after a mountain lion attacked a little boy on a cupertino trail last weekend. the site of that attack - the pichetti ranch trail. will reopen to the public tomorrow. kron 4's charles clifford reports on both cases. the california department of fish and wildlife says that a male mountain lion killed wedenesday morning along the zinfandel trail in cupertino, is the same cat that attacked a six year old boy last weekend. dna samples taken from the animal matched the dna of saliva samples taken from the clothing of the victim. fish and wildlife also says the mountain lion tested negative for rabies. at this point, wildlife officials still don't know why the cat attacked the young boy. since sunday, the trails near the site of the attack have been closed off. fish and wildlife says they have removed the traps and equipment that had been set up to catch the rouge mountain lion. on friday, the mid
