the snow flakes will fall in charlotte later today. the only place we have the advisory is in the mountains. the winter weather advisory will start up this morning and last into the afternoon as they pick up 1 to 3 inches in the highest ridge tops. so far all of this is moving off of the mountains, it is not hitting the ground. i don't see any snow reports coming in but it is a sign the atmosphere is beginning to moisten up. the clouds are moving in and by late morning and midday you may see a few flakes flying in charlotte. upper 20's into statesville and salisbury. it may not feel like it, but it is and we won't see the numbers go down that much further as the clouds are arriveing. we're in the low to mid-20's with less wind so the numbers will jump up above freezing as we head towards midday today. it will be very fine, light snow as well. i don't expect this to stick on the roads here in town. this afternoon we wake up to around 40. we'll use out of this. not sure if we'll see mid to upper 40s. either way, we get back into sunshine
