right now the warmest spot on the map is frederick with the temperature of 88.s 87 in martinsburg, only 82 in leesburg and manassas where the showers are moving through right now, a very thin line of the showers. basically it's along route 66. look at these dew points back up to the oppressive levels in manassas with the dew point of 70. once you reach that 70-degree level, that is where you consider it so oppressive for your body to cool off when you would have that. so we have system number one, that's the cold front. then system number two, it is what's called short waves that are going to continue to track mostly to the south of the metro area, but that will keep the chance for a few showers and storms in our forecast. as you're waking up to tomorrow morning, still dry, though on the muggy side, that's for sure. you can see the showers and pockets of thunder rotating towards us as we head through the afternoon. the targeted time for that between 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. for the most part. but heading into early tuesday morning, some showers that are still possible.
