i'm laura garcia. >> and i'm marcus washington. nbc bay area issuing a weather alert due to those conditions. let's start right with kari this morning with a look at that for us. kari? >>> yeah, a lot of us in the valleys are not feeling the high winds but i am monitoring the mountain wind gusts that have been up to about 58 miles per hour in the last hour especially in the north bay. with the high fire danger, the low humidity and the high winds will make it very dangerous for any sparks that could spread rapidly and we're going to continue to have this wind advisory, those high winds, through at least this evening. we're also watching some high waves along the coast, so we'll talk more about all of this in the forecast coming up. mike, are you seeing any issues for the morning commute? >>> kari, one crash i'm concerned with. there are a number of crashes but the one i'm going to follow is in the south bay. green sensors dominate the map obviously. it's 4:31. to the south bay, north 101. your typical commute direction at story rep
