joining us now from the home of super bowl xlix is will carr who is live in glendale arizona, right outsideity of phoenix stadium. what happened to the disappointed fans? >> well, eric fans from all across the country have come to glendale today in the hopes of going to the super bowl. some ended up paying thousands of dollars to get their ticket only to find out it's not the case that they can actually go to the game. that's because some brokers have been short-selling the tickets. but that's become commonplace in recent years. so what happens is the brokers actually sell the tickets before the brokers end up buying the actual tickets. they then turn around and try to get the actual tickets at a cheaper price before the game. but this year the brokers sold too many tickets and haven't been able to buy enough to make up the difference, leaving fans like tim and erica ruiz empty handed. >> you can sell something you don't have? >> we talked to two couples yesterday when we were in phoenix, and they warned us hey, if you don't have your tickets in hand you could have a problem. >> they said t
