gloucester county really getting hit. glassboro getting some of the heaviest rain right now going into winslow. a very, very slow movement, and that is why there is a flood advisory for much of the philadelphia area, northern delaware much of south jersey here. that is until 8:00 tonight. there will be some localized flooding out there as more rain continues. the storm in berks county not moving very much. there is a flood advisory for that, too. the doppler estimates in the blues, many areas already over an inch. and some over two, as you can see in the purplest colors. mostly in delaware. we've got one area north of dover tracking over three inches of rain. and much of that has fallen just in two or three hours. another big burst farther to the north in delaware. but in bucks county, for example, mercer county, not a drop of rain so far during the day today. you can see some of these rainfall amounts, two, three, four inches of rain. as we go through the evening, we're going to have more showers and storms move through

warnings are up for parts of burlington county, camden county, parts of atlantic county as well as gloucester county. we can see radar right now, we also have a severe thunderstorm warning box here in delaware for parts of kent county as well as parts of southern newcastle county. some of the storms are severe, and by that we mean could create some lightning, hail, even 60-mile-per-hour winds and some heavy rains. we're seeing here in new jersey there are plenty of lightning strikes just passing over heading to the southeast, just passing over 206 headed for the shore area of atlantic county and parts of southern ship bottom, so if you are at the shore in parts of atlantic county headed down to cape may county, you want to take these storms seriously, simply because they are popping up very, very quickly. it's along the line of a prefrontal boundary that really just propped up and because of the unstable air mass, we are seeing these storms just popping. they will calm down as we get to night fall and the unstable air mass gets just a little cooler. i'll be back with more on the heat in just
