golden gate park, when they want to go to golden gate park, they end up having to drive there and, you know, with an older group like that, we need to ensure that parking is close and not expensive, that it's financially accessible because a lot of people are on limited income, they're retired and they often don't have that expense in mind when they're planning to go to museums or going on tours, so many things happen around it's not just one unique situation, it's very common. so i'm concerned of the types of changes that are affecting the public and the smaller group of people that are kind of left to their own devices and, you know, maybe that might weigh on their motivation and i'm thinking of entertainment and accessing that and how this frame work is also impacting parking spaces and availability. >> and, also the ferris wheel thing that's there in the park, that's -- we have a park with millions of visitors per year and that's a huge challenge. it is not a good idea to close this driveway in our park. i understand we want to be green, i certainly understand that, but how are you

from golden gate park. look at improvements to the shuttle and making it easier to get across the park. we're looking at bike share and scooter share. and a lot of small and potentially large transit enhancements including service frequency improvements and stop improvements at the park. we will work with stakeholders to finalize the scope and we'll be presenting that to key stakeholders to the board and ultimately to the san francisco board of supervisors who are ultimately responsible for decisions about what the future of jfk will be in golden gate park. great highway, we have been collaborating in a similar way. along great highway, hosting a series of district 4 mobility study town halls, including one that concluded recently on march 27th. staff have been collecting feedback and doing additional analysis on concept designs, including keeping it the way it is, turning it back to the way it was before and using the highways in different ways and different configurations, including different times of day.

and golden gate park.n't hear anything from director tumlin regarding the role taxis play in getting people into the park. i have only been driven to the park once in the last year and two months. i want to let you know that the park is not just for residents. it sounds like director tumlin doesn't care about tourists or disabled people. he barely mentions that in his report. i'm not trying to insult him, i'm trying to say, the park is not just for people who are officially able to use the other modes of transportation. but the people who are disabled and in wheelchairs, etcetera, should be able to enjoy the park. i think if you're going to make it difficult for taxis to have access to the park, i guess we won't be going there and taking tours there. you have basically barred taxis from going to the park. there's an access point, it is not an economically viable and hardship for us to get there. not economically viable for our passengers as well to have to go through only one access point. i appreciate it

an outdoor stadium for track and field, motorcycle and auto and rugby and cricket located in golden gate parkhome to professional football, lacross and soccer. adjacent to the indoor arena. built in the 1920s. the san francisco park commission accepted a $100,000 gift from the estate to build a memorial in honor of pioneers in the area. the city and county of san francisco contributed an additional $200,000 and the stadium was built in a year. in the 1930s it was home to several colleges such as usf, santa clara and st. mary's for competition and sporting. in 1946 it became home to the san francisco 49ers where they played nearly 25 years. the stayed de yam sat 60,000 fans. many caught game the rooftops and houses. the niners played the last game against the dallas cowboys january 3, 1971 before moving to candlestick park. the stadium hosted other events before demolition in 1989. it suffered damages from the earthquake. it was reconstructed to seat 10,000 fans with an all weather track, soccer field and scoreboards. it hosts many northern california football championship games. local high sc
