good morning to you, sam and laura. the building in question right beyond the fire trucks here is an abandoned office building, used to hold a dentist office and some other offices and businesses in had there. this is situated in a residential area. a lot of homes around here. you have this two-story building that attaches to a single story that caught fire around 2:20 this morning. the two ladders that were dumping water on the building shut off. that's a sign of progress. they definitely had the fire contained. unfortunately, they did have to go on the defensive pretty much after they arrived this morning about 15 minutes after they arrived because the fire was so intense and about 45 minutes after they arrived they had to go and be on the defensive, just keeping the fire contained which they were able to do. i did speak with a couple of people who live in the area who said they did hear fireworks last night. but according to the fire department, they do not believe that fireworks was the cause. they believe it might
