harry -- harry vented on paper better than most people. he was very good at not pressing send on the e-mail. and his staff also knew that harry liked to vent on paper. and he would tell them to mail something and they were like yeah maybe you shouldn't do that one. this letter was found in mr. trueman's desk, in his oval office desk as they were moving out and getting ready for president eisenhower to move in and wasn't discovered by library staff until many years later. it was probably a good idea that he didn't send that letter and each this many years later, harry would still get excited when he would hear from bess and loved to get letters from her. he said you know there is no busier person than your old man but he is never too busy or too rushed to let his lady love the only one he ever had hear from him every day no matter what pour tends. and he always wrote, handwrote letters to her. they were never typed by a secretary. no one else did that for him. these are all handwritten. so what else did harry do on that day in 1946? he saw
