this week those of you who watch a lot of c-span or in this case hbo have had the opportunity to see john kennedy's address, as well as the number of the press conferences that he gave. i wrote a book in significant measure by kennedy. i like john kennedy. but there are a lot of problems with the things he did there. a lot of very significant problems. one wonderful thing about john kennedy was the rhetoric, and the inspiration track move them and put their lives in the direction of the arch of justice. barack obama did a wonderful job of that during the campaign and stopped on day one of the presidency, and got involved in the legislative debates over, you know, which rule was going to be included in which draft of which bill. i think that was a terrible mistake. i don't see why he could have done both. ronald reagan did both. there's no reason that obama wouldn't have done both as well. beginning in tucson, he started that man return, the one that brought tears to our eyes in denver and other places is back. i think it'll be a terrible mistake for him to return to the style of the

hbo's hired him to do a pilot for a detective series. so he interviewed a yemeni store owner who we've been trying to get to our meetings for years. and every time he comes i said all the murders taking place on your block, crime and everything. he didn't know anything about it. he told the guy who interviewed him thing he didn't tell us, that he's making $200,000 a year in profit, that these yemeni guys have a traditional family, and they have a babe -- baby mama family. in other words, poor black women are exchanging favors for credit. so they have a baby mama. now, you don't get that in the news. you get these journalists who live in the such bushes, a lot of them -- suburbs, a lot of them live in connecticut. and they come in and make forays into the ghetto. they write stories that are based upon a weak analysis. but living in a inner city neighborhood has been an eye opener, and i think it's probably several of the people from cambridge or georgetown get here all the time to talk about inner city life. if they lived there for a few

accurately reflects the lives of old people because it's a downer, and even not in popular culture, the hboduction, alzheimer's project, the first real tv series to really examine alzheimer's and produced by maria shriver's father who just died from it and there's a lot wrong with the series because it presented only nice long term care facilities or it was horrifying enough, it did accurately show what people in the last stages of alzheimer's are like, but there was always a caretaker, a home, a woman -- there was nothing in that about the people who have no caretakers in the late stages of alzheimer's. people who are not in a nice nursing home, whose life savings have run out and are in nursing homes in medicaid, and i've done articles on those nursing homes, and they are not nice places. in a way, it shows the worst case individual scenario. there's always a caretaker. there's always a woman who gave up her job in minneapolis to care for her mother. who will care for that woman of the years she's lost care taking? that is a very, very serious issue which is -- >> host: you mean because o
