i talked to someone close to heller who essentially said just that. you know, that was what prompted him to switch votes, that they will have so many different options to go for. it's not clear what those options are going to be. they're obviously iterations of this health care bill that we've seen out of the house. there's a repeal only bill, there's a repeal and replace bill, so all sorts of options for everybody there and you see mitch mcconnell there essentially saying, seize the moment, republicans. don't let this opportunity pass us by. he's obviously talking to republicans and schumer there also talking to republicans. and really, what i thought was telling about schumer, essentially saying to republicans that if you vote for this motion to proceed, you know what's going to happen on the other end, right, there are going to be taxes, tax breaks for the rich, there's going to be cuts in medicaid. obviously, we don't really know what's going to happen out of this, if they're going to be able to reach some sort of agreement where you can put toget

keep an eye on senator dean heller.n we head into these midterm , that is in 2018 someone who will hear a lot about the politicking that's going on these last few months. this is just a vote to proceed -- trump said tont speak with a lebanese prime minister in around 15 minutes time. vote -- itut this will be interesting to hear what he has to say. i want to go back to what you were saying there about the fallout from this. will we look back on this period in the midterms and 2018 and say this was a pivotal moment not only for the republicans but for the democrats, too? : it could be a galvanizing moment for the democrats. just yesterday, we had democrats talking about a better deal for americans, their attempt to bifurcate their movement to put forward a new measure for better wages and better jobs -- they completely fell flat. they have had a problem about getting americans to really identify what democrats stand for and what the left stand for now other than just anti-trump. this will give them an inflection moment.

senator graham and senator heller and i have been working on a provision which could take some time to be scored, it could be overlaid upon the bill that could be passed tonight. we hope to take all the dollars that would go to a state and deliver to the state. the state has to use it on health care but they can come up with a solution particular for their state. what happens in alaska with less than one person per square mile is very different than what happens in washington, d.c., over 100,000 people per square mile. which is difference than louisiana, south carolina, wisconsin and arizona. those states should decide what's best for those states. we can do that through this process if we pass the bill tonight and then it goes to conference committee and then we can overlay this we think this is a way to fulfill the promise president trump made to the american people to actually repeal. and that's our commitment. e hope this process allows it. you said you had increasing concerns that they will pass this bill and not go to conference. did something to make you feel that way? and what
