a touch less humid, still very warm. highs: 81-85 right now. the dmv feeling the impact from nate. this storm may have strength but it was certainly no joke - leaving a mark on the gulf goast. ryan hughes joins us from the live desk. and ryan nate sure did pack a punch. nate barreled through the gulf coast as a category one hurricane and knocked out power for more than 100-thousand people across the region and caused some pretty serious flooding. take a look at this. a parking garage in mississippi turned into a body of water. cars in over five feet of sea water - being tossed around nate also spawned tornadoes. one destroyed several homes and uprooted trees in south carolina. despite the damage - officials in the gulf coast say they were prepared for this storm after learning a tough lesson from hurricane katrina. across the south, crews now busy clearing roads and fixing power lines. no deaths or injuries were reported from hurricane nate it's now been one week since a gunman opened fire on a crowd of 22-thousand atten

right now we were still favorable in terms of the humidity but not the winds and the humidity is expected to go down to about 16% by 1:00. now, the good news about that relati relative humidity, even though it's so low, by 2:00 p.m. and forward, we can expect to see some of those winds tapering off. however, the temperatures, they've been fairly cool overnight in the 40s and 50s and then if we fast forward through 12:00 and 1:00, right around the time when we'll see that lowest relative humidity, we're talking about temperatures in the upper 70s and 80s. with the new change and expected wind gusts, i'm going to take you through this timeline. you can see the timing and the date and this is the stamp for the next couple hours. fast forward through 10:00 a.m. and unfortunately 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. is when we'll see those gusts peaking. napa, 38-mile-per-hour gusts, santa rosa, 26-mile-per-hour gusts so this is when we'll see the strongest of the gusts coming into play, even down near san francisco as those offshore winds continue and come in, even gusty along the coastline. so right between
