matt finn's live in moscow idaho with more. what does all of this mean for the case against him?o take place, what else do we have? >> reporter: and heading into the arraignment we were aware of the rather unusual option that koger had which is to enter the standing silent plea but then when it happens some people seemed a bit surprised or puzzled by it. here in idaho if the defendant enters a standing silent plea by default a judge enters a not guilty plea on their behalf. this murder case there is a gag order which is being challenged but for now attorneys on both sides cannot give statements or any feedback on what happened in court. this morning there really is just speculation about why you chose to enter the standing silent plea. it's possible that it will allow koger's team to better negotiate the prosecution and any type of deal since he could not formally entered a standard plea or could set him up to take the stand in his defense during the trial considering he did not enter a plea either way. you might recall he was given a phd in criminology at washington state univer
