that's the case here in the school district of philadelphia. they are dealing with ongoing budget cuts. the teachers i spoke with today tell me they are not going to let the cuts get in the way of giving their kids the education and attention they deserve. as the book shelves are uncovered, teachers in philadelphia are getting ready for the students next week. even though it's been a roller coaster ride of a summer, given the uncertainty of funding, educators are focused on the year ahead. >> school will go on in philadelphia. they have a job to do. they have to learn. my job is to teach. >> reporter: this semester, an educator at motivation high school, will have a student teacher from west chester university in the classroom. despite the troubles times in the school district, she tells her mission is to inspire kids. >> i don't feel discouraged. i think it's more of a challenge. >> it is distracting. >> reporter: the principal tells me she and her staff are thinking out of the box. >> we are working with what is given to us. >> reporter: did t
