iowa's most populated county is joining a growing list of places in iowa upping its minimum wage. supervisors in polk county giving final approval on a wage increase -- to the county that's home to des moines becomes the fourth iowa county to raise its minimum. the first two to make the move were johnson and linn counties. last year -- johnson county approved a plan to increase the county's minimum to 10-10 an hour by next year -- through three increments of 95 cents. certain towns were allowed to opt out of that increase. in linn county -- the minimum wage will increase to 10- 25 by january of 20-19. that county is increasing it's today -- marking the beginning for major road project in eastern iowa. groundbreaking for a new phase of the southwest arterial along highway 52 happening today in dubuque. when the project's finished - the four-lane, divided highway will give people another option for driving through the southwestern portion of the city. the arterial will stretch just over six miles. the project will affect the community for years -- especially homes and businesses in
