i thought it was interesting some would complain about the irs and then witness a 20% cut to the irs over the last decade. now we hope the funds will be answered. we also hope because one of the issues that has arisen in our report was of that they did not have the ability to hire the specialists you need to do sophisticated tax returns. it is a very one-sided effort. the tax staff came across that information as well. as my agents were designated, they accomplished the goal. they were energetic i also want to point out something else that bears noting. when i was approached by ranking member brady, he asked me if i would allow him and republican staffers to become my agents. came back to the staff, deliberated for a day and a half as to how to proceed and then took the pursuit -- took the position we should do it. they were invited in to see the same evidence the democratic staffers were. it is a very important consideration and i raised that in the past. when republicans argue and i went to hear from the others here, when republicans argue there was no precedent, there is a letter
