s like i'm janelle wang.nd a south bay community concerned about violence on the kids campus. the parents of westmont high school in campbell reached out to us saying there is an alarming number of fights there. one parent told us there were six fights, one time in a single day. robert handa joins us from cama where some of the fights were caught on camera. select the families that reached out to us say they did out of frustration. seeing or hearing about so many fights breaking out frequently and not seeing enough action taken to prevent them. wild and out of control. that is the way some families describe the video sent to us showing multiple student fights that took place recently at westmont high school in campbell. to an outsider, the violence on campus might seem unlikely, since westmont high gets high marks great schools.org, showing generally students get high test scores and are far above the state average in college and career readiness. some families we spoke to today tell us there is another side.

janelle, what is the latest on the investigation and what do we know about this officer's claims that was all just a big misunderstanding? >> yes, chris, so this officer is claiming that his comments were taken out of context and that he was actually in those remarks, he was mocking city lawyers and the discussion they would have in terms of negotiating any type of settlement regarding this young woman's death. now, it's worth noting, chris, that this video only came to light because a seattle police department employee saw it and was apparently so concerned by what they heard on the video that they reported it to their superiors and then it rose the ranks and eventually was handed over to the office of police accountability to be investigated like it is now. it's currently -- the investigation is ongoing. >> mark, when you hear those remarks, what goes through your head, even if this was just sarcasm or directed at lawyers? is that acceptable to laugh when you're discussing the value of a life? >> chris, it's well-known and understood that in policing and law enforcement in general t
