they did put jared there because i think jared kushner is someone a lot of people in tech feel they canh, who's reasonable that has some business background. so i think he's probably the right person for there. we'll see if they actually do anything or whether it's another one of these committees that talks about changing the way government does business and never does, which seems to always happen. >> or could fuel more questions about conflict of interest. i think it will be interesting to watch how these business lead rs advise the president on key domestic issues that also have an impact on their bottom lines. >> yeah. i do think conflict of interest in a broader sense is one of the stenches affecting washington these days. and it does come down to, you know, trump and his family to some extent. i think it's really important as kara said to have somebody like jared, you know, kushner, wlo is very smart working on these things. but you kind of want more of a distancing and delusion from all of the family businesses rather than him running around to every trump hotel and every weekend

jared kushner is tasked with supreme -- streamlining the bureaucracy and now jared kushner will apply business strategies towards a federal bureaucracy to try to get rid of the waste and inefficiency. it's likely he'll run up against the entrenched bureaucracy as well as resistance from unions deeply entrenched in the federal government. we are also learning he may be headed up to capitol hill to testify in the investigation into what was russia was doing during the election and whether there are ties to the trump campaign in regard to that. the white house putting out a statement saying quote, throughout the campaign in transition jared served as the primary point of contact with foreign governments and officials. given this role he volunteered to speak to senator burr's committee but not yet received confirmation. there's reports the intelligence committees demanded he speak to them and others say the volunteered. ist chairman nunes asked for anyone to come forward. >> bill: it's time to stop pointing fingers and roll up your sleeves. here's jim jordan on that point. >> instead of d

jim, what does the panel want to know from jared kushner? >> wolf, i think they want to obviously ask jared kushner who is yet another name to surface in all of this investigation going on into potential links between the president, his societies and the russians during the 2016 campaign. so obviously that senate legs committee would like to hear from the president's son-in-law about some of the meetings he's had with russian officials. he did meet with the russian ambassador kislyak during the transition period. it appears he met with the head of a russian bank that was under sanctions that the u.s. had imposed after the russian intervention in crimea and ukraine. so obviously as a new name surfaces, wolf, those intelligence committee members are going to want to get to the bottom of it, because obviously if you take jared kushner's name and add to t to michael flynn, the attorney general jeff sessions and other officials who had have meetings with some of these russian officials, obviously questions are going to be raised. >> we don't know
