live in the newsroom jennifer , crompton, wmur news 9. stephanie: a much calmer day today in keene after a gas and vermont busy throught the day saturday and into the early morning hours. wmur' s suzanne roantree has the latest on the emergency that affected more than 1200 liberty utility customers. suzanne: just after 9:00 saturday morning, liberty utilities says that there was a malfunction at the gas plant where propane and air are mixed. as a result, pure propane was sent to 1,250 customers in keene which can release deadly amounts of carbon monoxide when burned. more than 60 fire departments from new hampshire and vermont responded to the emergency checking homes and shutting off the gas to any house with a high c.o. level. crews responded to more than 100 calls for a gas odor or symptoms of carbon monoxide exposure. at least five people were treated for carbon monoxide symptoms. the gas emergency was ended at 2:00 this morning. a spokesman for liberty utility emergency and fully expect the governor to call for investigation. live in
