jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you, jen. meanwhile until baltimore county a 7-year-old is being treated this morning for injuries after being struck by a car along dun dolph road. the child was hit around 7:30 at the intersection of ray button and j.d. avenue. the child's identity has not been released. no word on the child's condition this morning. >> baltimore city police have a pair of multiple shootings on their hands the first happened around 11:30 last night bringing investigators to find one victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the back and foot and moments later they found two other victims that had been wounded in the legs. one was taken to bay view and the other to hopkins and under an hour later police were called to the scene of another double shooting and police found two men shot one in the face the other in the foot in the 200 block of dallas court. no word a suspect or motive in either of these multiple shootings. >> and animal control is investigating animal abuse. a warning this could be very disturbing

reporting live, jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you. a police officer is on routine desk duty and a team of medics are under investigation after a police-involved shooting over the weekend. responding to a burglary call overnight saturday morning, an officer shot a suspect in the head after police say the masked attacker rushed the officer with a screwdriver. first responderses declared the suspect dead on the scene. but a half-hour later that declaration proved a little premature. >> after being observed moving or taking a breath or a sigh, not exactly sure, they returned to that location, treated the victim and transported him to a nearby hospital. >> this morning the suspect is alive, listed in critical condition. >> that was far from the only case of gunfire over the weekend. in northwest baltimore one man was killed, another wounded. the shots were fired by someone in a white conversion minivan with blue stripes and tintded -- tinted windows. one victim, an 18-year-old, was killed while an unidentified 47-year-old man is expected t

live in towson, jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you. baltimore city police are investigating a shooting that happened yesterday morning in the 2700 block of spellman road in cherry hill. the victim was taken to shock trauma. his identity not released. no word on a suspect or a possible motive. meanwhile, investigators are also work on a shooting in west baltimore. authorities say shortly after 4:00 saturday afternoon they got a call about a man shot several times in the back on edmonton avenue. authorities say the man walked into a tire shop when gunfire erupted. he's currently recovering at shock trauma. no arrests have been made. there is information concerning a nearly 20-year-old mystery. the u.s. military says the remains have been found in iraq and have been positively identified as those of michael "scott" speicher. he's a navy pilot who was shot down in the first gulf war in a statement his family says learning of his fate has been difficult but it does bring some closure. brook hart has more. >> after return from camp david pre

live here in towson, jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you. baltimore county police are investigating a deadly boating accident in essex. authorities say a man in his 20's was killed when he was hit by the motor on the boat. it happened just after 5:00 last night on bayside drive. the victim has not been identified. baltimore city police are searching for the person who shot two people in southwest baltimore. the shots were fired just after 1:00 yesterday afternoon in the 800 block offallendale street. that's where police found an 18-year-old and 47-year-old man both suffer from gunshot wounds. the 18-year-old was pronounced dead at shock trauma. the other victim is expected to survive. police are searching for a white conversion minivan with blue stripes and tinted windows. if you know anything about the vehicle or the case, you're urged to call baltimore city police. meanwhile, police are crediting crime cameras with heching to capture a murder suspect. police say saturday morning cameras caught a fight between two groups of boys in the 300

jennifer franciotti has reaction from 66-year-old letty williams' family. >> good morning. letty williams died when the plane she was riding in crashed saturday just minutes after taking off. she was traveling with 61-year-old robert kociemba who was the pilot of the two-seater plane. he says bob and his mom were the closest of friends. they enjoyed scuba diving, flying, and at 66 williams was working on getting her own pilot's license. she had an adventureous spirit and a loving nature, but will be missed. >> she was an accomplished woman, she was a professional. she did a lot of good things for a lot of people that loved her. she loved a lot of people, and she's going to be missed by a lot of people. >> williams leaves behind two sons and five grandchildren. federal investigators have not released any information on what caused that plane to crash. reporting live from the news room. mindy, back to you. >> rescue crews continue to search for a small plane and victims in the hudson river. nine people were killed when a plane crashed with a helicopter. new york mayor michael

jennifer franciotti. the big story, and alert. overnight thunderstorm struck to our area. at we are under a flash flood watch. john collins is in the insta- weather center with a look at the forecast. more rain? >> absolutely. last night was very noisy and the baltimore area. thunder and lightning. the storms were very intense. they were not severe because there was not a lot of wind, just a lot of rain and thunder and lightning. let's look at the radar back then starting at midnight. that is when the noise started. you can see what it looked like, bring intense storms in montgomery county, western howard county and southern cal county. i will advance it. the and the storms will keep rolling through. a lot of lightning with the storms. some torrential rains fell as well. as far as the rain totals, much of carroll county, the central portion of baltimore county, and in extreme northern howard county received anywhere from 2 inches to 3 inches of rain. up to 5 inches and sw carroll county. there was an area in harford county that got up to 6 inches and intense thunderstorms.
