. >> i'm jessica kartalija. >> here is what people are talking about today. the murder trial of huguely underway. the former uva lacrosse player is charged with killing another and his former girlfriend, yeardley love. adam may is live. >> reporter: good afternoon, jury selection is underway now. it is a tedious process in the murder trial against huguely. he is sitting in the courtroom, wearing a shirt and tie, paying close attention to the proceedings, a montgomery county native, accused of killing love from cockeysville. that murder happened two years ago and stuned this college town. prosecutors say he beat his ex- girlfriend to death that took place in her apartment at the university of virginia. this case is really capturing the nation's attention. almost 200 reporters from across the country. this has put a spotlight on the issues of alcohol abuse, college campus, and domestic abuse among young adults. the jury selection should wrap up tomorrow. we should see opening arguments late dos or possibly on -- late tuesday or possibly on wednesday. more later

. >> i'm jessica kartalija. >> here is what people are talking about today. the grief in parkville, baltimore county after a 13 year old dies in the middle of harford road. his mother says a controversial energy drink laidend with alcohol is in part responsible. derek valcourt has more. >> reporter: good afternoon. the young boy was an 8th grader at parkville middle. friends tell his mother that he had consumed one of the energy alcohol drinks, it made him so sick he leaned out of the door to victim it and fell out and struck by on coming traffic. chris keys devastated to learn the real story behind the accident that killed her 13- year-old son, michael. >> all the kids think it's okay. >> reporter: chances are you've heard of four loko, fruit fliferred energy drinks filled with alcohol. enough to make 13-year-old michael sick to his stomach. so sick, as his step father drove him home, he opened the door to victim it and fell out in a busy harford road. his friend was also in the car and saw it all. >> we stopped as fast as possible. sunday night near the acc

jessica kartalija has more on what huguely said, just hours after yeardley love's body was found. >> reporter: love's family, huguely, and at least two jurors were in tears today, as they heard what happened when huguely learned his former girlfriend was dead. >> reporter: former university of virginia lacrosse player george huguely admitted he wrestled with and shoved yeardley love, but never punched or strangled her. this, from a police interrogation video, played for jurors inside charlottesville district court. the footage was recorded hours after love's body was discovered in her apartment in may of 2010. huguely told police he had gone to talk to love about their on again-off again relationship. but insists he didn't inflict lethal injuries. detectives told huguely, love was dead, asking, did you hit her head into the wall? did you crack it? . >> reporter: >> no, sobbed huguely. you guys said she had a black eye and a bump on her head. she's not dead. i didn't. i did not. i never did anything that could do that to her. i refuse to believe that because nothing i did to her that
