jobina. safety on the roads has become a hot button issue in san francisco. new data shows pedestrian fatalities in the city are on the rise. and now city leaders want answers. as abc7 news reporter gloria rodriguez joins us live at city hall this morning. and gloria, the public safety committee met yesterday to take up several safety issues. >> they did, karina and the city officials met here yesterday. the rise in traffic deaths was one of the topics that they discussed. and the city officials are asking for answers this morning. a recent report shows that traffic citations dropped drastically over the past several years. this as the number of pedestrians being killed is on the rise. and the public safety committee took up the issue thursday, led by supervisor rafael mandelman, the supervisor sent a letter of inquiry to the police department after it reported a 97% drop in traffic citations in eight years as i would like for us to get closer to a plan to actually have more traffic enforceme
