officers charged 24-year-old nathan horn with malicious wounding and neglect. 10 on your side's joe fisher is in the newsroom-- with brand new court documents. joe. these court documents say horn was in the care of the child while his girlfriend -- the child's mother -- was at work. this happened in september 2014. but after an extensive investigation -- horn was picked up last week half way across the country. "serious burns to his right forearm" court papers say a three-year-old child suffered two second-degree burns from a flat iron --- and tonight nathan horn is in jail for allegedly injuring the child on purpose. when the boy's mother first pressed horn for an explanation, he told her: dragged through the iron." according to the court papers, he then immediately relocated to minot, north dakota. three days later the child's grandmother took the boy to the hospital. that's where doctors reported the suspicious burns. child protective services launched an investigation shortly after. police then get involved during the investigation, court papers detail a text message between the boy's
