will it be west virginia senator joe manchin, former utah governor, john huntsman, both in new hampshire today for this town hall that they're doing. new hampshire is a great state if you're looking for nonparty affiliated people. there are a lot of non-party affiliated people in new hampshire. while we have heard from people over and over again on the campaign trail and recent elections and polls show that people are angry with the two parties and angry at institutions, what we have not seen is voters actually break away from the parties, if you go look at what's happening in recent elections, particularly in the last couple of elections, it's really really divided between democrats and republicans, only a handful of people switching between the parties from year to year. so, you know, we'll see what they're able to do. the conventional wisdom is that the more traction, the more likely a republican wins the presidency. >> let's bring in vaughn hillyard. >> also, john huntsman, the former governor of utah, excuse me, who potentially would be on it as well. i heard you just spoke to joe m

this evening in new hampshire, democratic senator joe manchin and former utah republican governor john huntsman where the headliners. senator manchin refusing to rule out a third party campaign, saying, quote, if i get in a race i'm gonna win. most third-party runs go -- but it is hard to deny there is at least some uptight meng voters for alternatives to major party front-runners. question is how much of an appetite, and to what effect? the no labels is already drawing fire from democrats who say all what do is safe enough moderate voters for president biden and put donald trump in the white house. and over the years third party candidates have been blamed for giving elections. ross perot in 1992 for taking republican votes from president george w. bush who lost to bill clinton. ralph nader in 2002 got nearly 100,000 votes in florida, a state that delivered the presidency to george w. bush. by fewer than 600 ballots. and in the 2016 green party candidate jill stein was accused of being a spoiler in several close states to hillary clinton, where she narrowly lost them. now this time a potential

he'll be appearing on stage behind me here with former utah governor john huntsman. the two of them are the front men, if you will, for no labels. that is the group that is promoting a unity ticket. they have not decided if they are going to go forward with this in 2024, and the reality is they're only on the ballot in about five or six states. by the end of this year, they're raising $70 million with the hope of getting the on the ballot in a majority of states across the country, and that's exactly what is worrying some democrats because they believe that -- they realize that there's an enthusiasm gap for president biden. they realize that the idea of a rematch between joe biden and donald trump simply is not palatable with many americans. so that's where no labels is coming in. one thing they are doing tonight is releasing a policy book. they're handing out these books to everyone, it's called a common sense policy book. they're trying to strike a middle ground on abortion, on immigration rights, on gun rights. jake, it's more of a utopia in a deeply divided washi
