we will go over to meteorologist kate bilo with your first lot the forecast, kate. >> jessica, with two rounds of storms, one this morning especially south and east of philadelphia, another round is in progress as we speak. storm scan three shows this line of pretty gusty thunderstorms moving through portions of bucks, montgomery and chester counties, trailing down into portions of northern maryland and a few storms approaching new york city metropolitan area as well. these storms are moving at 45 miles an hour to the north and east. you can see over portions of chester county these storms headed for delaware county. there is one warning over portions of northern bucks county, pretty nasty conditions traveling here on the northeast extension through you that particular cell. lets zoom in on this entire line here and again you can see some rain, some lightening, over northern montgomery county, possibly some hail with this particular cell as we look up into bucks county the at the moment. that is where our warning is in effect until 6:15 tonight and it includes perkasie, tinicum, dublin

meteorologist kate bilo is outside on the cbs-3 sky deck to tell us what to expect, kate, i'm afraid for what you will say. >> i'm almost afraid to say it. i know nobody is looking forward to snow in april but that is exactly what we've got in the forecast, so today although it was chilly we would have preferred 07's with sunshine at least it was dry and we have a good deal of sun outside right now. but lets take a look the at is what happening on storm scan three. our next storm is heading our way and you can see right now skies are clear but as we zoom back to the west and rain is infiltrating portions of indiana and ohio, and that is our next clipper system, heading in our direction, for saturday. and, temperatures right now, again, chilly but about 10 degrees below average. we are at 50 in philadelphia 46 in lancaster. 50 degrees at the atlantic city airport. clouds are in the tonight. it will not be as cold as recent nights have been but we do expect periods of rain, and snow, saturday, all day long, and the heaviest of the precipitation between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and then

meteorologist indicate bilo joins us now. kate, where is spring?> spring seems to have stayed in march. march started off on very warm note. april starting off completely differently, guys. temperatures well below average right now it's all in the wake of this cold front that came through earlier tonight with some rain it now pushed off the coast but now temperatures are plummeting in fact take a look at this at 3:00 o'clock this afternoon it was 65 degrees. right now, it's 41 degrees. that's a 24-degree drop in temperatures since this afternoon. and those temperatures are continuing to drop. below freezing overnight. so there is your freeze warning. it's from really the entire region. notice it's not in effect for the lehigh valley and the poconos because the growing season hasn't officially started that yet. so any area that is in the growing season philadelphia all surrounding suburbs inform freeze warning until 10:00 a.m. and any sensitive vegetation plants things like that cover them up, move them inside if you can. this will expire at 10:00 o
