abc 7 news reporter kate larson is live for us at the berkeley marina with more about those conditions. kate? >> reporter: well, dion, normally from this vantage point there's a clear shot to treasure island and the san francisco skyline that you can see behind me. there's not a lot to see except a sheet of white because of all this smoke and also the fog. take a look at this. here's some video from our cameras throughout the bay area, which show the fog and the smoke which really sort of took over this sky last night. i remember this morning, too, there was sort of an orange glow in san francisco. so what's happening is, of course, we have the large fire that you just heard about burning in yolo county. smoke is blowing down into the bay area from that fire. but at the same time, our summer fog rolled in. and that smoke is actually blowing over this fog. i spoke to lisa pasana with the bay area air district who explained many r about what all now above the fog. it's kind of being trapped there. that's actually helpful to us. although we see the orange haze, we're not actually getting
