i'm katie marzullo. today a girl is safe. 9-year-old ida rothschild found two and a half miles from her campsite at samuel taylor state park this morning. we have details of the return. rsht 9-year-old ieshda rothschi was found safe today and she had a question for her dad. >> what was all the fuss, dad? >> reporter: he can't say enough about the full scale search to locate his 9-year-old daughter, ida. >> extremely grateful. it's been a life-changing, difficult experience. >> reporter: rothschild says he and his wife turned their back for a moment friday afternoon and ida wandered away from the campsite and became lost in the woods. hundreds of searchers from across northern california looked for her through the night. two cyclists spotted her this morning. >> they were riding along a trail about two and a half miles west of our location here when they both saw and heard ida crying for her mom up on a hillside. >> reporter: amazingly she wasn't hurt and told police she kept walking to keep warm. >> ida

katie marzullo joins us from the newsroom with incredible video. >> the video captures the suspect so get a good look, the land goes into the liquor store near the corner of mcdaniel in unincorporated san jose and distracts the clerk and slips behind the counter and grabs liquor and cigarettes. there is a confrontation and the robber throws bottles and gestures like he will hit the clerk and, then, the clerk goes after the robber with a broom. ultimately the man does throw the clerk to the ground and punches the clerk repeatedly. another customer was able to stop the attack. the suspect got away in a white car. you can see, there, what the suspect looks like. if you know anything about the case you are asked to call the santa clara county sheriff with the video on on website at abc7news.com. >> katie marzullo, thank you. today, san francisco police are expected to release new details of the man accused of setting a string of fires in the city south of market over the past few weeks. police believe they have the person responsible under arrest. they released we surveillance video of th
