let's bring in cnbc market analyst kenny polcari. kenny -- and bob will stay with us. kenny, you know, this has been a week of heavy data. there have been several catalysts, today's jobs report, the ecb, what it's going to do and what it suggests it may yet do over in that part of the world. what is the next catalyst that the market will be looking for over the next several week weeks? >> license, it's in and out absolutely going to be paying attention to the macrodata that's coming out. so the market is going to be very keen on now that we seem to be having a lot of momentum, europe and drawingi hdraghi, th the comments. the market will be watches closely, to see what janet yellen says next and what the fed says next. i think they'll stay right on schedule. the market is not concerned that any of this good data will cause it to speed it up at all. i think it's status quo. i think we might be in for actually a smooth summer, it doesn't feel like there is anything out there at the moment that will derail there, right? >> the bond market seems to be telling us we can exp

kenny, what do you make of the market today? this is linked, perhaps, to the president's statements about iraq? >> i think it's linked to that, i think it's linked to the weak macrodata today and linked to yesterday's weak data and political news. it's a catalyst, right? it's giving traders especially, not even the investors, traders a reason to take some money off the table. >> we've been weaker, by the way, since the words leaked out that the iranians may be getting involved in iraq. bear that in mind. one piece of perspective on oil, you know how much iraq makes every day? 3 million barrels. you know, kenny, how much the united states production every day is? 8 million barrels and growing by 1 million a day. we are becoming one of the biggest exporters, producers, in the world. hopefully it will be exporting as well. perspective on the iraq situation. not saying it's not serious. >> right, but oil at $105 a barrel is certainly also not going to help. >> if it goes up to $125, it's definitely going to hurt. >> thank you, guys.

how does the market feel, kenny? you know, so we have this back and forth.doesn't feel heavy, but also doesn't feel like they're -- -- i think that investors are digesting tern the recent move, but also very concerned about the simmering tensions in the mideast, it doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart. >> what about the low -- we have low volume, and low volatility. i think the market does feel heavy short term, but by the same token, it doesn't feel like it's going lower. you look at that market action the last three weeks, it's been a steady slow grind over a little higher. we don't feel like the market is going to keep ripping for new highs. could the market be up 10% to 15% this year? what's your better alternative? the u.s. equities represents a decent alternative for the investment dollars overall. that's why you're not seeing the market really pull back, not seeing people scared about anything. it kind of, you know, grinding in place, not really going anywhere. >> well, 10% would be a pretty decent return for any market. so thanks, gentlemen, ap
