and now, american pharaoh has been crowned as the 141st kentucky derby champion. ll week long the conversation surrounding this year's derby was about the depth of the field, the strong collection of talent that had folks in the know truly excited about a wide range of contenders. now, that excitement is squarely centered on american pharaoh. we all know that since 1978 and affirmed, there have been so many close calls, and so many disappointments, including as recently as last year. but real experts give this horse a real shot. a derby favorite who until today hadn't truly been tested. then was tested. and passed that test very impressively. in two weeks comes american pharaoh's next test when the racing world reconvenes in baltimore for the preakness. the middle jewel of a triple crown so elusive that some now view it as unattainable. we'll see. right now, though, as we say so long from louisville we say hello to dan hicks, who's in san francisco for golf and the wgc cadillac match play. dan? >>> so we continue on this epic
