let's bring back into the show, chairman, kevin o'leary, it's good to see you again.ts are urging biden to show up on the strike, trump is meeting next week with workers but the white house is blocking. the ua has not endorsed them, what do you think about this? >> it's a very significant issue developing but as an investor what i'm looking at, what is the likely outcome of this negotiation? you think about the automotive sector, it's not only domestic but in local competition, every country is not advancing on ev and automotive manufacturing particularly china doing low cost options so let's talk where we are right now, all of this is positioning who shows up and who supports who but here's the deal, general motors offered seven and a half% increase. the likely outcome is 20 to 25% wage increase, very infla inflationary. here is the killer. the union wants a reduction in the workweek down to 32 to 34 hours. we cannot do that to america. we be so unproductive, uncompetitive in this sector we get slaughtered by our competitors if we did that and we are just dealing wit

kevin o'leary on this show last night saying he thought the fed's target rate was going to 6%.>> that's a pretty good prediction and as long as the treasury continues to borrow at the pace and interest rates go higher and they're a price. it's the price of loanable funds. well, the treasury is crowding out the loanable funds market right now because it won't stop borrowing trillions upon trillions of dollars and we've borrowed over a trillion since they suspended the debt ceiling. larry: one of the biggest buyers was the fed. they're not now. >> this is funny, i put this in my commentary today, the feds now down $1 trillion in treasuries on the balance sheet and households up over a trillion but it's not apples to apples. i point this out to my clients. the fed is a noneconomic buyer of treasuries and don't care what the yield is. households only buy because the yields juicey. it costs more money. i don't agree on the six handle coming on the fed rate and the reason why is because i'm givine cynical than the fed. they're a political actor. no actor is going into an election yea

bring in kevin o'leary, chairman of o'leary ventures. i'm trying to digest the number, that is stunning. what is happening and can our economy even go on like that? >> kevin: no, it's not sustainable because if you look at businesses, let's take sectors like grocery. margins are 3 to 5%. shrinkage was 1, 2%, second take that, but now it's sometimes 6, 7, it's completely unprofitable. that's why in places like san francisco, which is probably the case study for this whole situation, everybody is pulling out, the grocery stores are pulling out, hotels are pulling out, convention centers are shut down, nobody there. it's not safe to walk at night. the place has become a war zone. i don't think it's really politics anymore, i think it's bad policy is what's happened here and not sustainable. >> sandra: i'm looking through the report and while retailers have taken some drastic steps to prevent things like this happening. and by the way, these are drastic incidents of retail theft. but this is happening every day while your big department store
