i'm kira klapper. vianey arana joins us with the forecast.ught it. >> i want to say i brought the sunshine in. >> you did. >> not a bad week to come back to. i thought about issuing a micro climate alert saying it was going to rain as an april fool's joke. >> but that would be mean. >> that would be supermean. let's get the day started with good vibes. today's main event will be just that. a lot of sunshine, 80s. and i hope you get a chance to really head outside. woodside right now looking gorgeous. i know that a lot of folks are wondering what the temps are, probably heading out the door. are you going to need a heavy jacket or what's the deal? mild temps right now in the 50s, half moon bay 50 degrees. mountainview 53 and in the hayward area 53. we're still seeing breezy conditions in some valleys, but not expecting any wind today. maybe a slight breeze along the coastline into the evening hours. but overall very calm weather. santa cruz at 44. tone look at today's forecast, 70s and 80s across the board. even half moon bay is in the 60s. mo

i'm kira klapper. vianey arana has a look at the forecast. one day like this and another day like that. >> the timeline always seems to fall on the weekend. i know it's easter weekend so there's a lot of people anxious to find out what the plans are going to be indoors or outdoors. right now we're in the 40s. this is a nice way to wake up. then we do warm up nicely. so we're not going to stay in the 40s, we're not even going to stay in the 50s. we'll be climbing into 60s and 70s. the temperature trend is looking mostly good. a nice combination of sun and clouds. and that's because we do have high clouds in the forecast. but if you're wondering about your easter sunday looking up ahead, i want to give you a preview and let you know that today is probably going to be the best day to hide eggs early in the morning because by tomorrow you do want to take your easter egg hunt indoors. i have a close are look at that timeline, but we are tracking some rain. the good news is it looks like it's not a major storm. so rain totals aren't too significant

i'm viccen nguyen in with kira klapper this morning. we're standing by with the weather alert we're under. it seems a lot chillier this morning. >> it definitely is. we've been seeing 50s and 60s the past couple of weeks with all the spring weather, but we had that cold front sweep in and really dropped down the temperatures which made for snow in the sierra. please make sure to dress accordingly because it's definitely chilly. south bay 49, 50 in peninsula. tri-valley 46. look at the north bay, 38 degrees. definitely feeling very cold. and if we take a live look at that doppler radar, we can see there's still plenty of moisture siing off shore which is why we did keep that micro climate alert just in case you plan on being out on the roads. we have the chance of possibly seeing thunderstorms through the mid-morning. you can actually see those forming off shore. if they do manage to hit in tonight we'll keep you updated on that. but i'll have a closer look at the timeline and when we can see relief from the rain coming up at 7:18. you'l

i'm kira klapper. it's going to be nice you say. >> it is. >> boy, it can't beat yesterday, can it?rday is a little bit less sunshine, but if you have plans to be outside, it's still going to be very much dry. very nice in the temperatures. seeing a comp noibination of cl. we will start seeing clouds rolling in. that's what's going to bring us fairly cloudy saturday. but the temps on this earth day will be climbing into the 60s and the 70s. but if you notice on the icons we start off mostly clear in some areas and then quickly start seeing an increase in our cloud cover. it's going to be a little bit overcast on this earth day, but at least it's going to be dry. we do have a trough. it's going to bring some drizzle so we don't have anything to worry about going into tomorrow. today's highs will be in the 50s and 70s and then tomorrow we're expecting an even greater drop in those temperatures. i'll have a closer look at that. yes, we are tracking more rain on the way as we head into the workweek. >> it's such a roller
