. >>> also this morning, lawyers for bryan kohberger, the man accused of killing four university of idahont. so, what are some of the argue. they're putting on the table? >> this is a blitz of multiple defense motions throwing everything they can at this. a court imposed deadline, that's why it is coming now. everything from routine things, they don't have enough time to prepare for trial, to really things maybe more of a creative stretch thing saying it violates international treaties to give him the death penalty. it is an aggressive move, but it is a death penalty case and so his public defender is taking it seriously. one thing i was surprised she did not hammer is how rare it is to get capital punishment in that stateapital punishment in that. i went back and looked. it only has been used three times. the last was 20 -- if they do it in this case, it would be something that is rare. we should mention even if he's not eligible for the death penalty, it is not like he walks free, he would be eligible for life in prison and it would be up to the judge whether that happens. >> life witho

a judge has now ruled that the long-awaited trial of bryan kohberger, accused in the 2022 killings ofthis is a change of venue. what was the judge's reasoning? what happens? >> he's citing a number of different reasons. he's saying the media attention in this small community is too hot. he's saying there were logistical concerns. during this jury selection. essentially, they don't have the court staff. he's citing security concerns. but the family is furious at this because they're saying all of that could have been decided months ago, and he sat on this motion for eight months before deciding it. so why do this now? they say they're incredibly disappointed. they wanted to come to trial every day, and we still don't know where the trial will happen. >> we don't know where it is. so sofbly this delays it further. what happens next? >> right. so the trial is set for june of 2025. but if a new judge comes in, and the judge said, give it to somebody else. if the new judge comes in, they can set their own timeline. remember, there's a number of pending motions still going on including his
