two fatalities were in lake isabella a recreation area east of bakersfield. the fire has destroyed at least 80 homes and is threatening 1500 more. right now, this fire is at 0 containment. a state of emergency is now in effect. cbs reporter danielle nottingham joins us live from lake isabella tonight. >> reporter: this is one of the more aggressive fires we have seen so far this summer and here's why, it left behind a twisted and tangled mess and one of the things that made it worse here a lot of these properties have propane tanks. now, going into the evening, one of the main concerns for firefighters here is the relentless wind in the area. >>> reporter: police tapes around the lake isabella home where two people died in a fast moving wildfire. >> like driving into the apocalypse, like driving into hell. >> reporter: thousands evacuated as the fire came through. they are unsure what they will find when they return home. >> i haven't seen the damage yet since i came back but a lot of houses looking like they were on fire. it's so smoky,. >> reporter: richard
