meteorologist lauren casey tracking all of this for us from cbs3 weather center. mild days, 50s yesterday. upper 40 today's. the colder air is going to be building in. we do have little bit of a chance for snowstorm scan three showing us quiet condition right now clouds though still in place mostly cloudy conditions across much of the delaware valley and temperatures 47 degrees not too chilly but a bit of a breeze up around 12 miles per hour making it feel more like 36 degrees right now. we're at 38 down the shore. 31 pretty mild temperature for january in the poconos and we are going to be colder by tomorrow a few flakes possible so we'll talk about where we'll see the best chance of a few snow showers tomorrow afternoon and then bitter wind chills for everyone on monday. we're talking about waking up to wind chills monday morning in the single digits and we keep around cold sunshine through next week and windy conditions as well. i'll have all the details on this more win like forecast coming up in just a few. >> thank you so much. >>> also knew at 11:00 o'clock

meteorologist lauren casey is in the weather center. got a little chill now, lauren. >> a little chill settled in across the delaware valley. temperatures becoming seasonable as we went into our january 2016 after a record warm december. temperature right now 42 degrees in philadelphia. but it's really right where we should be at right now. winds out of the west-northwest at around 7 miles per hour. wind speeds dying down the shore, temperature 37 degrees and 20's with a wind chill in the teens in the poconos. storm scan3 showing us pretty quiet conditions. we actually saw the sunshine today. so that was nice and patchy clouds did work through parts of the lehigh valley and poconos. those are starting to erode over the last couple of hours. clear sky conditions in the city points south and east and we'll keep it clear as we led into the night tonight and another round of sunshine tomorrow, very similar conditions to today. we'll tack on a few trees to your high temperature. breezy again once as we head into tomorrow afternoon and then th

this storm piling up quickly, lauren casey joins us >> conditions are starting to deteriorate a bit here on it cbs3 sky deck. the wind are starting toic put up. it was a very pretty kind of like fall snow about an hour ago. now those wind are ramping up. the snow is pile up and some of our snowfall totals so far, got my hand ruler out, we measured so far about two and a quarter inches here on the sky deck. in philadelphia in general about three inches. dover, picking up almost three and a half at this early point in the snow event. pemberton about two inches of snow so far. top philadelphia snowstorms, the biggest, close to 31 inches back in 1996. we had a one a few years ago, 2010 be 28.5. if we make it to 21 inches, we would tie for the fifth biggest snowstorm in philadelphia history. that dating back to the 1800s, and looks like we got a shot to do so. so keep tuned and we'll keep giving you the updated snowfall totals throughout >> amaze aing numbers. thanks so much >>> snow coming down hard and fast across the region including in center city. and that's where we find david spunt. da

lets check with meteorologist lauren casey outside on the sky deck, how is it looking. >> it is looking, i would classify it a as dreary. we have light precipitation. it is a mix of rain, and snowfall and that is what our display on storm san three will show you. very light in intensity but just kind of yuck more in the way of wet snow flakes as we look north of the city and more in the way of sprinkle activity with snow makes mixed in. south of the city. this will all continue to move east over the next couple of hours. so dealing with the scattered, light rain, snow showers, just kind of miserable condition, as we head into our friday afternoon. temperatures, chilly with that wind, that has kicked up 41 degrees right now in philadelphia amount wind west northwest at 17 miles per hour, making it feel more like 32 degrees. we are at 43 down the shore. for the the rest of your afternoon we will deal with light mixed precipitation, temperatures topping out at 40 . we will scale back in the 30's as we head in the evening hours. precipitation will come to an end as we approach evening, and
