with meterologist lawrence karnow.lawrence karnow: we made it two in a row today with sunshine and above normal temperatures. it finally feels like spring is here to stay but will that be the case? we are looking at mostly clear skies outside tonight with mild temperatures. the winds are a little stronger today especially near the coast. but the temperatures were still in the 70s and 80s and 60s at the coast. these temperatures are still running about 10 to 12 degrees above average for this time of year and it's going to get hotter.you can see the huge dome of high pressure now building over california. as it continues to strengthen, offshore winds will start to blow. that means as we head into the middle of the week it will be hot inland and even warm all the way to the coast. highs at the beaches will be in the 70s. you can see the clouds staying away from the coast over the next several days with the offshore wind. i think we'll see the hottest temperatures so far this year with some places soaring into the 90s. hig

with meterologist lawrence karnow.wrence karnow: the holiday weekend is off to a fine start weatherwise. we started with plenty of low clouds and fog but the sun managed to break through a little earlier. as a result temperatures warmed over yesterday's highs. there was even a little sunshine out at the coast. highs today will still a little below average but warm inland with numbers in the mid 70s. of course it was much cooler at the coast with hghs there in the 50s and 60s. it looks like a nice evening but it's a little breezy in spots and those winds will help the fog return again tonight. high pressure continues to settle in overhead on this holiday weekend. you can see the ridge now sitting over the west coast. it should strengthen and that should warm temperatures a little more tomorrow. let's take a look at our forecast model. you can see the fog racing back on shore late tonight and into tomorrow morning. but with high pressure getting stronger, it should be an earlier burnoff sunday and on memorial day. taking
