i'm going to let leigh glaser handled this one. >> leigh: i have to tell you i know everyone is kind of disappointed we didn't see the snow. but colder air does not hold as much moisture so while we have the cold air in place, we just didn't have enough moisture to make it come out in the form of snow. in fact, live doppler 7hd, this is a live sweep. not picking up any moisture at all here around the bay area. you can see to the south of us, we are still seeing some of those returns, a little bit of rain to the south of carmel right now, salinas valley, and this is the last of it. tonight get ready for very cold temperatures. last night and this morning we had cold temperatures. record lows, napa, 27, breaking an old record of 30 set in 1945. 32 at oakland airport. oakland, a new low of 34. sfo, 35. records that tied. san jose, 33, tied a record from 1897. record lows a good bet tonight. freeze warning in effect for north bay and east bay and salinas valley. protect the pets and pipes and cover your plants. >> alan: as we mentioned, we did get snow, just not at sea level. here's more
