what i saw were similarities, and it was impressive to learn the meeting with dutch planners and local city officials that amsterdam and san francisco -- i will focus on amsterdam because that is where i spent most of my time, but these cities are very similar. similar populations, similar population densities. they are laid out very similar in terms of residential density. we're centers for strong regional economies, similar in economic drivers. tourism is number one. viking is part of their tourism. also big finance, creative technology, that as part of the economic driver. also big similarities in terms of cultural or political persuasions. we are a population that values environmental sustainability. it values and social equity. we are cities that understand the benefit of the greater good , and are places where sometimes we are out lyras for the rest of our country. there are places that can be models for the rest of our country. in our cities, i can't talk about it without addressing the flat this issue. as flat as amsterdam is, when you are riding on a really heavy by with no barrier

under the city's campaign consultants ordinance, campaign consultants working on local campaigns mustegister with the city's ethics commission and file periodic reports. prop f would redefine a campaign consultant to mean any individual who earns at least $5,000, instead of the current $1,000, for campaign consulting services within a 12-month time span. require that campaign consultants file reports monthly, instead of quarterly reports. other is the commission to require electronic filing of all required information instead of paper reports. and finally, and the fees payable to the city for they no longer depend on the number of clients. it would also allow the city to change any of the campaign consultant ordinances requirements without further voter approval. ♪ >> hello. 9 judge terri l. jackson. the court is now recruiting prospective civil grand jurors. our goal is to develop a pool of candidates that is inclusive of all segments of our city's population. >> the jury conducts investigations and publishes findings and recommendations. these reports them become a key part of the c

as manthe redevelopment agency t subject to the city's local hiring ordinance, but the shipyard construction work to date has well exceeded the initial benchmark of 20 percent signed. we're quite closer to 50 percent signed with a great participation from bayview hunter. residents in city-wide. you will see more and graphs shortly. there is no jurisdiction in this case under local collier. it is work force development that does that. i think that was a simple oversight. the development agreements in place for the shipyard require quite robust local hire and workforce under equal opportunity program and the employment and contracting policies that are in place. the oversight is done in on a train the compliance by the redevelopment agency. as an added dimension to this, the oversight in compliance is not enough. through the development negotiations we have gotten a total of $8.9 million for work- force training, and that is in partnership with 8010 labor and ace, and the city through the work force development arm will match that money in programs and services. if i could beg the patience of

services and whether or not the city could make a requirement or provide extra points in scoring bidders if they're providing a higher level of investment for the local community. and there is some concern, and the city attorney has expressed an opinion on that it may not be allowed under state law. however, our conclusion, after talking to the city attorney, if it is a voluntary activity that the banks are asking simply to present that information, it is not a requirement for operating in the city or having some of the banking business. it might be a legally different interpretation, therefore could be something the cities would ask for. that is an issue that would have to be resolved with the city attorney. supervisor avalos: ask for an rfp? >> right, something that is not a determining factor of what they have to do, that can possibly be a way of evaluating the extent to which they're doing it, but it would not be the primary criteria for the collection process. there is different interpretations on that. i am pointing at the the city attorney has raised some concerns about that, and i think it is still an issue to be researched further. superviso
