maggie, thank you so much for joining us.ny adults who have adhd not diagnosed when they are children? maggie: this is a pretty interesting finding that we're seeing coming out of the cdc. and if you look closer, it seems like there areertain people, especially women and people who are a little bit older, when adhd might not have been as much on the public's consciousness, that are mostly responsible for this. and we see that adhd looks different in girls. and so we see that people who may not have been recognized when they were younger grow up, learn about what adhd is, and then often start to recognize it in themselves. ali: you mentioned that it can be different in girls, but what about differences in the ages? does it manifest itself differently in adults than it does in children? maggie: so the core symptoms of adhd, which are difficulty paying attention, which can look like carelessness, forgetfulness, disorganization, and difficulties in hyperactivity or impulsivity, which can look like having trouble thinking before y

maggie the president elect and elon musk are both very rich people. they have large fortunes um, people are fascinated by the nature of this relationship and whether it can last. where do you see it going? where does it stand now look it it stands. >> it's in good standing now. there has certainly been a lot of complaints from people around trump beginning soon after election day that elon musk was there too much. he was sitting in transition meetings that some people didn't care for him to be present for but if trump is getting tired of him, trump is not making that, especially public. you know where i could see i could see trump chafing here and there because trump never likes anybody around for too long. and one of the things that people around him have come to realize over time is that scarcity is a commodity for them. if they want to have longevity with him. musk is also and depends on the day the richest or one of the richest men in the world. and trump has a huge fascination with wealth. as you noted, trump equates wealth with intelligence and

maggie, thanks so much for joining us this morning. you and your colleagues wrote that trump's doing what he tends to do. he calls around to friends and associates, asks them who he thinks they should pick for his administration. so, what are you hearing, maggie, about what trump's most interested in as -- and what he's focused on, as he's looking to fill out his cabinet? >> yeah, so, manu, i want to caveat this as we did in this piece, that all of this is heavily, heavily asterisked right now. there are lists going around, people floating names, trump is soliciting names. he's suggesting names that he's considering. none of this is real. until he actually says what he's going to do. it's notable that he started out by eliminating people with a saturday night truth post about mike pompeo and nikki haley. he's most interested in a handful of cabinet posts, and that's been the case the whole time. he was not interested in most of his cabinet during his term. he's interested in the attorney general, the secretary of defense, the cia direc

most come to miss maggie's office for advice, supplies, or other help. i'm sorry. it's a feeling the parent community specialist finds hard to describe. i think it's a tough question for me because i get to go home and i get to put my kids to bed and i get to feed my kids. yet her students, eager to learn in the classroom, struggle to survive outside of it. the barriers are beyond what any of us can imagine. they're a nightmare, actually, and so to expect them to sit there and learn while they're hungry or where they don't feel they feel insecure because they're wearing the same clothes for a week. eastside union says the latest count is 950 unhoused students districtwide, but it's growing by about 50 every month. and that's not counting those who are too afraid or embarrassed to say they're unhoused. yet they come to school, whether it's to learn or for the meals or simply to have miss maggie's ear. there is a misconception, a misconception that, you know, an unhoused person doesn't have a drive or an unhoused person is dirty. an unhoused person doesn't know their

lucy's mum, maggie, has dementia.cking her mum's doing 0k. it's that black box, the one you barely notice under the lamp there. but to lucy, it's a lifeline. we get a message every morning to say that mum's up and about, that the temperature in the house has been sufficiently warm. it lets us know whether there's been any unusual activity overnight, which might indicate that mum was distressed in some way — even if she wasn't able to remember that and verbally express that, it would allow me to initiate a conversation with her. the box is sensing maggie's movements and the conditions in the house, but there are no cameras or microphones, which is important for privacy. but crucially for maggie, it means she can have more independence while her family has peace of mind. i think it's very important. yes, i do, because, well, i suppose a lot of it depends on the personality of the person with memory loss. but, you know, i'd always been very independent, and to lose that is not nice. maggie has sensors dotted around her h

maggie, the fact that rfk jr.out on the campaign trail with trump obviously suggests trump thinks he can be helpful in these final days. is there any concern you've heard inside the campaign about the actual prospect of kennedy being a, you know, a turnoff to swing no, i yeah, in general, most people in the campaign are actually pretty happy about him. >> there are a few people who i think have questioned using him so heavily, but most of them think that the endorsement from rfk of trump was a big moment for the campaign. and it and it added to momentum at a crucial time. also, rfk jr. is on the ballot still in wisconsin and michigan. so even though he's not a candidate anymore, i think that part of what trump is doing is just trying to appeal to those voters. but do i think that rfk jr. is likely to play some kind of a health role in the administration? i do he has had this conversation with trump before in in late 2016 or early 2017, during the transition when trump was elected, then trump was very skeptical of

maggie that's right. >> there are new names coming in. jonathan swan and i reported yesterday about kevin warsh. she talked about him before marc rowan from apollo is another name. senator bill hagerty is another. there are other names that are floating around unlike other roles where trump had a real clear idea of what he wanted in them because the policy area was narrower or because the scope of what he expected them to be involved with was more specific in something, he was more engaged with, you know, the economic roles have always been a little more complicated for him and on this one, yes, he has told people he wants a big name, but what exactly that means is not clear. you know he does. he is a credential and he does like big wall street names. and so it's not surprising that he is still looking around because he has moved so quickly with so many other choices. we will see where this goes this week. the desire for a lot of people around him is to have it done by the end of the week. not just this post, but a number of other economi

maggie vespa joins me now. maggie, police say he was trying to get into the school multiple ways. >> lester, that's right. police say this 13-year-old suspect carrying a black backpack and a large duffel bag tried to enter numerous doors around an elementary school in kenosha, wisconsin this morning, but all those doors were locked. so they say he tried a front entrance, a secure entryway with a buzzer and two sets of doors, and it's there police say he was stopped and questioned by staff members before he turned around and left the building. and they ultimately found the suspect who surrendered. now law enforcement released this video which they received today that was unclear when it was taken. it appears to show the teenager with a rifle. and police told reporters that warning signs were there from the teen's internet search history to comments he made to other students in recent weeks about his intentions. but police were only made aware of those red flags today. so while this community is breathing a sigh
