i'm kris sanchez, i'm in for laura garcia. >> and i'm marcus washington. now we want to get a look at the forecast for you. meteorologist kari hall has been studying everything happening across the bay area. how is it looking? >> it's looking cloudy to start but sunny this afternoon, and this is our usual setup and we have our average temperatures for this time of year, as we take a live look in san jose, we are starting out with some clouds in santa clara. we'll start to see the skies clearing by late this morning and our temperatures going into the low 70s this afternoon. downtown san jose reaching up to 78 degrees, while gilroy tops out at 84. we'll talk about some hotter weather in the forecast coming up. >>> mike, you spotted some new slowing. >> i did but it was starting to move better over the last couple of minutes. we see some folks tapping their brakes north 101 at the 680/280 interchange headed up toward 880 and oakland. i gave you a lot of numbers. right here on the map, you see orange and slowing north 101 into the area at capitol expressway.

i'm marcus washington in for kira klapper. vianey looking at that forecast for us yesterday. it was so nice for us. >> we're going to get a little sea breeze. you saw the flags in that shot of san jose waving a little bit. it's going to be noticeably cooler this afternoon. we do have a couple clouds rolling through right now in san jose, about 57 degrees. look at the wind speeds, about 9, 10 miles per hour at times, going a little bit further into the 15-mile-per-hour range but into the evening hours, we will see those winds pick up. that will be something that you want to look out for. look at san francisco, 55 degrees right now and let's talk about what you can expect for the afternoon, because even though we're in the 50s now, yesterday we did manage to climb into the 80s. not going to be a good beach day as well. it will be cold, topping out in the 60 degree mark and it's going to be cloudy and going to be breezy and going to be windy by the evening hours. so in san jose, expect to only top out in the upper 70s so we're still going to be comfortable but we're going to be
